**An artist's proof is a print that was made during the printmaking process to see the current state of the printing. This means that artist proofs vary from the final print edition in some way. Here, each of these artist proofs exhibit a small shortcoming that set them apart from the main batch of prints for the third printing of Death Dawns Not on Hearts Aflame. These shortcomings could be an anomaly in the printing, a small dot of ink in the margins, or a surface flaw on the paper. All shortcomings are subtle and do not detract from the artwork in any way, so they are being offered today for those of you who missed the main batch of prints from this third printing. The photos depict the main print, but the artist's proofs will be marked "AP" next to the "III" to indicate the third printing.

        Melding inspiration from the catacombs of old Europe, medieval manuscripts, and Pennsylvania German folk art, Death Dawns Not on Hearts Aflame is a screen print that evokes the feel of a devotional relic, magical and ancient.
