A grim goblet sits upon the altar of a midnight gathering. The draft inside simmers and the sweet smell of mandrake wafts through the air. Ancient symbols are etched upon the goblets surface alongside the face of Lilith, evil and seductive. The symbols glow and eyes illuminate as each initiate sips the brew. They drink from the charmed chalice, binding them to the bonds of womanhood, awakening their sexual desire, and cladding their womb in iron so they can choose when fertility suits them.

          Throughout cultures, the chalice is exalted as a vessel of life, symbolic of the womb, abundance, and creation. In this illustration, the chalice is charmed with magic that allows the drinker power over her own fertility. Lilith is an ancient goddess, equal to The Old One and, in some myths, considered the first woman as well as the first witch. Her likeness is emblazoned on the chalice, imbuing the contents with self-empowerment, sexual liberation, and the freedom of choice. Mandrake, pennyroyal, and blood swirl inside The Charmed Chalice, a sweet elixir made even sweeter with the goblet’s gifts. Drink heartily, for all those who sip this potion will vanquish fear, oppression, and control, allowing room for their empowered self to rise.
