**An Artist's Proof (AP) is a test print that is made during the printmaking process in order to check on the current state of the ink, screen, and overall print. The printmaker studies the artist's proofs to determine what part of the process can be adjusted to create the clearest and cleanest print possible. This means APs often vary from the final edition in some small way. Artist's proofs are signed by the artist and marked "AP"

In an act of ritualistic cleansing, the Sea Nymph pours onto herself the mystical waters of the ocean’s tides. The salty potion flows forth from an earthen pitcher, cascading through her hair and glazing her serpentine form. Calling upon the purifying and regenerative properties of the ancient waters, she performs this healing ritual to cleanse her mind, body, and spirit, washing away the grime of grief and pain. Shedding the weight of that which sought to pull her down, the Sea Nymph emerges anew, re-empowered and reunited with her own power, as mighty and eternal as the ocean’s waves.

Water is the blood of the earth, flowing and pulsing through the veins and arteries of the land and pooling in vast oceans. Where water flows, life follows, earning the elemental substance the ancient reputation of life-giver as it is able to sustain flora, fauna, and entire civilizations. On a spiritual level, water is the great purifier, offering energetic cleansing, healing, regeneration and, ultimately, transformation. The Sea Nymph is a 7-color screen print. This limited edition consists of a variety of versions, some with special metallic leaf, others on different paper colors. Each is printed on Stonehenge archival acid-free printmaking paper. The bottom edge of the paper features a raw deckle, adding to the print's handmade feel and complementing the rustic oceanic aesthetic of the Sea Nymph. Each print is hand signed and marked AP.

*These Artist Proofs are marked "AP." The Sunken Treasure versions are additionally marked with "1/1" denoting it is one-of-a-kind due to the unique color pattern of the multi-colored metallic leaf.
